Welcome to VignetDirect. These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern all use of our website, services, and products by customers worldwide.
Important: VignetDirect is a legally independent company. While we share branding, website content, backend software, and certain services with VignetNodig (a Netherlands-based company serving Dutch-speaking customers), VignetDirect operates under separate ownership and is fully responsible for all contracts and services provided to its customers.
By using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These general terms and conditions apply to every offer made by the trader and to all distance contracts and orders concluded between the trader and the consumer within the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Before the distance contract is concluded, the text of these general terms and conditions shall be made available to the consumer in electronic form. Where this is not reasonably possible, it shall be indicated prior to the conclusion of the distance contract that the general terms and conditions are available for inspection and will be provided to the consumer free of charge upon request, without undue delay.
Where the distance contract is concluded by electronic means, the text of these general terms and conditions shall be made available to the consumer by electronic means in such a way that they can be easily stored on a durable medium. If this is not reasonably possible, it shall be indicated prior to the conclusion of the distance contract where the general terms and conditions can be accessed electronically and that they will be provided to the consumer free of charge upon request, either electronically or by other means.
If one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions are at any time wholly or partially invalid, void, or annulled, the remaining provisions shall remain fully applicable. The invalid or annulled provision shall be replaced by a provision that most closely reflects the intent and economic purpose of the original provision, in compliance with applicable law.
Situations not expressly regulated in these general terms and conditions shall be assessed in accordance with the spirit and purpose of these general terms and conditions, while respecting mandatory consumer protection laws.
VignetDirect acts as an intermediary service provider, assisting customers residing outside the issuing country in obtaining official emissions stickers issued by the competent authorities in the respective country.
Once an order has been placed and payment has been successfully completed, the application is processed according to the procedures applicable to the selected emissions sticker. Delivery times and methods vary depending on the issuing country and the nature of the sticker.
VignetDirect cannot be held liable for delays caused by postal services, digital transmission issues beyond its control, or force majeure events, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, or supply disruptions.
German emissions stickers are issued in accordance with German law (35. BImSchV) exclusively by authorized bodies. These bodies include recognized car dealerships, local government authorities, and technical inspection organizations such as TÜV and DEKRA.
VignetDirect procures German emissions stickers through a partner with access to certified German car dealerships. This cooperative model ensures that the sticker is legally issued and delivered to the customer.
After payment confirmation, applications are typically processed within one to two working days. Provided that the vehicle meets the applicable eligibility requirements, the sticker is dispatched by post by the issuing partner.
Delivery times depend on the destination country and are estimates provided by postal carriers (e.g. Deutsche Post).
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. VignetDirect is not liable for non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details.
No refunds or complimentary replacements will be issued for stickers lost due to incorrect address information. This includes situations where the recipient’s name does not correspond with the mailbox label, where such correspondence is required by local postal services.
Address changes may be requested after payment and before processing has started via the designated correction link.
If the customer has provided a correct delivery address and has not received the sticker, they must notify VignetDirect within one month of the order date. Upon timely notification, a replacement sticker will be sent free of charge.
With regard to the French emissions sticker service, VignetDirect provides a digital intermediary service. No duplicate emissions sticker will be issued.
A replacement emissions sticker can only be obtained by entering into a new agreement and placing a new order.
The consumer declares that the vehicle registration document submitted as part of the application is valid, authentic, and corresponds to the vehicle stated in the order.
VignetDirect is not responsible for delays or rejections resulting from incorrect, invalid, or inconsistent documentation provided by the consumer.
The consumer agrees that the temporary proof of the French emissions sticker will be sent electronically to the email address provided during the order process.
The consumer has the right to change the provided email address as long as the emissions sticker service has not yet been provided.
Once the emissions sticker service has been provided, the email address to which the temporary proof is sent can no longer be changed, as this is beyond the control of VignetDirect.
There are a few cases in which we cannot process your order. The most common case is when your vehicle is not eligible for the requested emissions sticker. In that case your order will be cancelled and your money will be refunded. We kindly request you check whether your vehicle is eligible before you place your order.
Other cases in which we cannot process your order include:
In most of these cases a simple mistake has been made. You will receive an e-mail requesting you to provide additional information to complete your order. If we do not receive an answer to this e-mail, we will send a reminder after one week. If another week later we still do not receive an answer, your order will be cancelled and your money will be refunded.
Refunds: When you are eligible for a refund, your money will be refunded to the same payment method you used. Your money will be refunded within 14 days after confirmation. Please note that it may take some time before the refund appears on your statement.
Because the emissions sticker is a custom-made product (issued specifically for your license plate number), it is not possible to cancel your order once it has been processed. The standard 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases within the EU does not apply to custom-made products.
If you wish to cancel, please contact us immediately. If the order has not yet been processed, we may be able to cancel it, but this is not guaranteed.
If you receive a damaged or incorrectly printed sticker, a new sticker will be sent to you free of charge. Please contact us with a photo of the damaged or incorrectly printed sticker. It is your own responsibility as a customer to notify us of a damaged or incorrectly printed sticker within two months after you receive your sticker.
The total price shown on the order form is inclusive of VAT, shipping, and transaction fees. For business orders where VAT is shifted or not applicable, the price covers shipping and transaction fees.
Payments are securely processed by our payment service provider, Mollie. Transactions will appear on your statement as "STG MOLLIE PAYMENTS". We accept a wide range of payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Cartes Bancaires, NEXI, Apple Pay, SEPA Bank Transfer, Przelewy24, Bancontact, KBC/CBC, Belfius Direct Net, and iDEAL. No additional fees are charged for using any of these payment options.
If your payment fails, you will usually see an error message. This usually happens when you exceed the maximum time for your payment method or when there are insufficient funds. In this case your order will not be completed.
You will receive an invoice with proof of payment together with your emissions sticker or via email.
Complaints regarding the performance of the service must be submitted to the service provider fully and clearly described within a reasonable time after the consumer has discovered the deficiencies.
Complaints submitted to the service provider will be answered within a period of 14 days from the date of receipt. If a complaint requires a foreseeably longer processing time, the service provider will respond within the 14-day period with an acknowledgment of receipt and an indication of when the consumer can expect a more detailed response.
If the complaint cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, a dispute arises that may be subject to an applicable dispute resolution procedure.
A complaint does not suspend the obligations of the service provider or the consumer, unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
If a complaint is found to be justified, the service provider shall provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
