What You Need to Know Before You Leave
Do you need an emissions sticker to drive to Les Trois Vallées ski area?
To reach Méribel, Val Thorens, Courchevel, or Les Menuires, you will need to travel via Lyon and Chambéry. Both permanent and temporary eco-zones are located here. However, you don't necessarily have to drive through the environmental zone to access the ski resort. While a Crit’Air sticker is recommended, it is not strictly required if you choose the right route. An alternative route through Geneva, Annecy, and Chambéry is also available, where eco-zones can be found. For Geneva and Chambéry, you do not have to pass through the environmental area. However, Annecy is within an eco-zone known as Haute-Savoie. In this temporary eco-zone, you may need an anti-pollution sticker for France in case of air pollution. Therefore, it is advisable to purchase a French emissions sticker before you set off if you opt for the alternative route.
