About This Emission Zone

What You Need to Know Before You Leave

Do you need an emissions sticker to access Les Deux Alpes ski resort by car?

This ski resort is virtually inaccessible without the French emissions sticker. If you take the route through Lyon and Grenoble, you'll pass through the Grenoble environmental zone, which may be active. Alternatively, if you choose the route via Geneva, Chambéry, and the Haute-Savoie department, you'll also encounter a Zone de Protection de l’Air in Haute-Savoie, which could be operational as well. Regardless of the route you take, you will always pass through an environmental zone. You can check if it's active at https://www.atmo-auvergnerhonealpes.fr/ or listen for updates on local radio. Considering the possible routes to Les Deux Alpes, we strongly recommend purchasing an eco-vignette for France before your trip. The French emissions sticker is only available online and is explicitly not sold at petrol stations. It is also not available for purchase at the AA.
