Spain accepts environmental stickers from other EU countries. The French environmental sticker (Crit’Air) and the German environmental sticker (Umweltplakette) are both valid. Environmental Stickers for Spanish Registration Plates

- B (yellow): for petrol cars registered from 2001 and diesel from 2006
- Others: All other cars fall into category A. This includes petrol cars registered before 2001 or diesel cars registered before 2006. These vehicles are NOT allowed in the ZBE’s.
- Classic Cars: Spanish classic cars registered as ‘histórico’ are allowed in the ZBE’s. Foreign classic cars often do not qualify for a French or German environmental sticker and are therefore also not permitted in the ZBE’s.
